Relocating your Hoccer XO account to Hoccer – the Messenger

Removals are usually an annoying burden. Fortunately, that doesn’t apply to the relocation of your Hoccer XO account to Hoccer – the Messenger! Find out how to move your account from one app to another.

Before you get started, please download the new app from the store of your choice. Attention: Please do not yet uninstall your Hoccer XO app and make sure you run the latest version of it.

Relocating iOS users

  1. Load Hoccer – the Messenger on the App Store, install the app on your device and open it.
  2. Hoccer – the Messenger will automatically find your previous Hoccer XO account. You will now be asked which account you would like to use within the new Hoccer app.
  3. There are different options. No matter how you decide, Hoccer guides you through the removal – step by step.
    • Take all from XO: Choosing this option, your XO-account will be transferred completely to the new app (containing contacts, group- or individual chats, attachments)
    • Take XO-Login Only: Hoccer only transfers your credentials, contacts and group information. No messages and attachments will be transferred to the new app.
    • Restore Account-Backup: Choosing this option, you can create a backup that contains your login information (credentials). Moving to, i.e. a new phone is now much easier.
    • Reactivate Old Account: Hoccer or Hoccer XO was used on your device some time ago, but you removed the apps? You can restore the old account and import it to the new app.
    • Create New Account: You can setup and create a new profile.
  4. Restart the app and there you go: Relocation finished!

Relocating Android users

  1. Load Hoccer – the Messenger on Google Play Store, install the app on your device and open it.
  2. Hoccer – the Messenger will automatically find your previous Hoccer XO account. You will now be asked which account you would like to use within the new Hoccer app.
  3. There are different options. No matter how you decide, Hoccer guides you through the removal – step by step.
    • If XO was installed on your device before, you will have the choice to import this account (including login-data and your contacts, but no messages and attachments) to the new app or create a brandnew account.
    • If no existing XO account is found, the app opens and a new account can be created.
  4. No restart is neccessary: Relocation finished!
